- Cuisine: Hungarian
- 2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (120ml) warm water (110°F/43°C)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional, for flavor)
- 1/2 cup (120g) sour cream
- 1/2 cup (60g) shredded cheese (e.g., mozzarella or cheddar)
- Fresh herbs (like chives or parsley), chopped, for garnish
- Optional: Paprika or chili flakes, for added flavor
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt well to ensure the yeast is evenly distributed. (about 5 minutes)
- Add the warm water (110°F/43°C) and olive oil. Mix the ingredients with a spoon until a rough dough forms. (about 2 minutes)
- Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Ensure the dough is not too sticky.
- Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes until it has doubled in size. (It should be slightly puffed and fluffy.)
- Place the risen dough on a floured surface and divide it into small portions (about 10 pieces). Roll or flatten each portion to about 1 cm thick. (about 10 minutes)
- Place the mini langos in the air fryer and bake at 180°C for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Check after 5 minutes to ensure they are cooking evenly.
- Brush the langos with olive oil or melted butter after baking. (about 2 minutes)
- Top the mini langos with sour cream, cheese, fresh herbs, and optional spices as desired, and serve immediately.

Keywords: Make sure not to let the yeast come into direct contact with the salt, as this can affect its activity. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake the mini langos in the oven at 200°C, but they will take a bit longer. Feel free to experiment with adding herbs or spices directly into the dough for enhanced flavor.
