These crispy cottage cheese chips are a delicious and healthy snack option that you can whip up in no time. With a perfect blend of flavors and textures, they are sure to satisfy your cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240g) cottage cheese (preferably low-fat)
  • 1/2 cup (60g) shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet, depending on preference)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (such as chives or parsley, finely chopped; optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing the baking sheet)
  • Parchment paper (for easy cleanup)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. This is important for the chips to become evenly crispy.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease it with olive oil to prevent sticking.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese with the shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined. Make sure there are no lumps.
  4. Spoon the mixture onto the baking sheet, spreading it out to form thin, round mounds. The thinner the chips, the crispier they will be.
  5. Bake the chips in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Be careful not to burn them.
  6. Remove the chips from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes. They will become crispier as they cool.
  7. Carefully lift the chips off the baking sheet with a spatula and let them cool completely on a wire rack before serving.

Keywords: Avoid making the chips too thick, as they won't become crispy. Thin mounds are key! Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.
